paul kitson down the viccy tavern a couple of years ago - he had been on corporate thing i guess and had a few - he seemed genuinely amazed at the atmosphere in there

trevor brooking (again) as a six aside in cranleigh surrey had a chat with him and top bloke as expected - he did say that he had always wondered what it would have been like if he had gone to forest with bobby moore when clough wanted them both and he at the time was quite keen on it - cant blame him and very honest of him to say so

Been to a few parties from the Black Lion in the late 90's and at one time a central defender was well out of it under a table with a bottle of Gin surname C !!

Thought at the time no wonder we're not challenging !!!

Hmmmm happy day's though.

Sir Trev seems to have gotten a few mentions on this thread, I've only ever heard good things about him when people I know have met him.

Would you mind if Sir Les had a go with your missus?

One that has just to mind is Franco Zola when she was our manager at Petts Wood station. I was with my MRS at the time and I saw him coming up the stairs that lead out of the station. Anyway, I shout to him 'you're Franco Zola' (as you do) and he gives me an awkward smile begins to walk off. I have a mate who worships the ground the bloke walks on, so I thought I'd get a picture with him, but as I go towards him, he legs it.

Half pint Chelsea cunt!

Was outside the Bald Hind pub in Chigwell at kicking out time one Saturday night when a motor pulled up, opened its boot and a pissed up Ian Bishop got out. Just said 'alright Bish' and watched him stumble off down the road.

Fair enough but I think for most people seeing famous faces in everyday situations often seems strange.

The Mrs doesn't post here but the afternoon she saw Sir Les F take his shirt off in front of her* is something she still talks about today.

*He was trying on a shirt in an upmarket shop she was working in. So she says.

hotel in southampton for my cousins wedding, was about to head back to my room when my attention was drawn by some comotion with anbother wedding party. young lad said someone nicked his phone - at that monent the (then) sunderland manager PDC strolls past me - young lad says 'thats the fella that nicked it'.

lots of shouting and pushing ensues - me and the missus get in the middle and usher PDC to one side as he yells "fuck off you are drunk" to the wedding guests. police got called but it all calmed down, at which point me and PDC had a pic taken and strolled back to ours rooms in the hotel. him and his team wished us a "buonasera".

monday morning it was front page of the sun. funniest thing was the chanvy locals who thought we were his 'PR team' and moaned about how all the 'wops' were sticking together.

I met Frank McAvennie at the opening of C&C sport in Bracknell. Mid 80s, I got his autograph. He said he liked my sister's earrings, a rather snazzy Wham item (I wasn't wearing them).

He looked more than a little disinterested and distant from proceedings. Perhaps he was thinking about when he might score again.

Bumped into Rio Ferdinand in a bar called Hotelet in Stockhlom in either 2005 I thiknk. Had a quick chat but came accross pretty arrogant and 'where's the girls type'. Anyway we all ended up in Cafe Opera which is a gig mainstream but difficult to get into night club unless you know the right people. He was up in the VIP area (a bit naff so I was at the bar) and got a slap from some local Serb gangsters.

I found out later he was heading for a vey late night bar called Koket (The Kitchen). but advised not to as people were lying in wait.

That nutsack belonged to Alvin Martin.

He was of decent length, nothing to be ashamed of at all.

Sat opposite Glenn Roeder and Clive Allen when both played for QPR the week before the FA Cup final they both appeared in v. Spurs 1982. I was vaguely surprised they were getting public transport obviously going to Shepherds Bush on the central line. Pre Prem days though. They probably had 3 pints and a pie on the way to the ground.

I'm pretty sure it was the Ginger Pele on a train two seats in front of me coming from Chelmsford a few weeks back though. You'd think he's be distinguished enough but I wasn't 100% sure. Anyone know if he wears glasses off the pitch?

Was in Gatwick on a trip back from Rome meeting the missus parents for the first time and I spotted Di Canio ahead of me going down the escalator to the baggage claim.

I leave the missus in my dust and sprint after him, uttering barely a word, we have a chat and had to hold myself back from hugging him.

Once finished I proceed to tell the missus that it was the highlight of the trip, it was.

was in japan teaching english in 2002, my flight home was just after the world cup.

in front of me in the queue to get on the flight - Sir Trev.
Legend, autograph, hero worship etc. Absolute solid gold gent.

Also saw the bbc commentators, Hanson, Motty etc.
Hanson turned out to be a prize twat.

About 10 years ago was got onto a packed central line. After a few stops and a bit of shifting around I find myself literally bodily pressed up against Sir Trevor. Was actually too close to say anything and he got off before me. Didn't kiss him mind.

Was sitting in the stalls watching one man two guvnors with James Corden. Immediately to my left were Robert Green and his missus. This was at the time he was refusing to sign a new contract. Got weirder when Simon Callow then sat in front of us and I had to stage whisper to the Greens what his name was because they recognised him.

Di Canio outside my office in bond st about 16 years ago on my lunch break with a fellow hammer.

He went and asked for his autograph, while I just stood there in awe.

Strange thing was Paolo told his wife to take the kids off and come back in 30 mins so he could chat to us until our lunch was over. Legend.

Don't think I said a word!!

I think I've met most of the team over the past three years at David Lloyd gym at Gidea Park. They should to walk up and down the indoor pool for strength training 1-2 mornings per week.
